      TEAM 52 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Team 52 provided over 200 hours of community service in 2011.

Team 52 is our dedicated volunteer corps, a vital component to the success of PitCCh In Foundation. Please let us know your interest toward any of the opportunities below.

Arts and CraftsArts and Crafts - At several of our community events, we strive to include as many fun and inspiring activities as we can for attendees. If you have a special craft or skill you can bring to one of our events, please let us know!

Career Mentorship - As part of our Vallejo High School (Vallejo CA) “Source” Program and in partnership with the “ZONE” at Dwight Morrow High School (Englewood NJ), the Foundation seeks professionals who can share insight into there chosen profession and the steps they took to create there journey.

Carpentry - Many PIF projects require the specialized experience of a skilled carpenter. These projects normally revolve around our Christmas Caravan and Baseball Development Projects.

Fundraising/Special Event Assistance – This is great opportunity for volunteers that are interested in helping with various fundraising projects, Annual/Special events and/or making significant connections in the community on behalf of PitCCh In.

Grant Writing - Our annual fundraising strategy includes the identifying, preparing, and submitting local and national grants.

Green Team – This team of dedicated volunteers works year-round to keep our youth parks and baseball fields in great condition.

Office Assistance – These volunteers assist the office staff by helping to handle the many day to day tasks and special projects that are crucial to the administrative management of PitCCh In. These tasks and projects would include, but are not limited to the following: large mailings, answering phones, sending faxes, and typing correspondences.

Transportation – The Foundation often needs safe, insured transportation for youth to attend activities such as MLB Games, Theater Shows, and Special Events.

"I grew up in the Boys & Girls Club, grew up in the inner city, saw everything that it can do for you," Sabathia said. "I was fortunate to be able to get out, and now I'm trying to give back."
